"'After' is a term used in art to indicate a copy, as distinct from the original, and as an acknowledgement of the original. In this case I use the word instead to indicate this work is the result of a profound experience of seeing a great work of art that changed my way of seeing. The inclusion of detail in the title of this print is to indicate it is derived from isolating part of the earlier print called 'After Seurat'."
