An early image of the Rock Pool Series, this is an inspired use of the torn edge of a tissue paper stencil to represent the foaming wave, set against knife cut stencil edges which represent the absolute and solid aspect of rock. The torn edge related to the clean cut edge also gives an effective illusion of space.
