This stunning bird of prey, with its distinctive silhouette of outstretched wings and searching eye, is a collaboration of creativity, solid materials and the natural beauty of recycled objects which reflect their own history through the scars of time.

Materials used are locally sourced: Steel was recovered from the scrap metal bin, the post is Japanese Cedar which was planted over 35 years ago by Roy and Viv McNabb to shelter the former Pauanui Markets, and the Copper was recycled from an old cylinder used in a fruit workshop.
