La Gioconda

'La Giaconda' (the joyful one) is a name often associated with the famous Leonardo de Vinci painting Mona Lisa.  

In Jay's painting he has (by mistake) created two faces.  The darker side of her face on the left is male and the lighter side is a female.

Perhaps this mistake is also a subconscious tribute to Chinese medicine which is based on the balance of yin and yang - the yang side of the body (right side from your perspective) is the male side and the yin side (left) is the female side.
