The sight of the iconic Kopu Bridge with a long tail back of traffic and the lights seemingly locked at red is an abiding memory for many of us who regularly travelled to the Coromandel - back in the day!

Now the situation is much improved with the new bridge keeping things moving and traffic lights assuming a very different level of importance in our pandemic world.
