Since retiring and moving to live permanently in Tairua, Michael has joined both the local Tairua and Hikuai Art Group.
Having the time and shared enthusiasm of others has provided a great vehicle for him to develop techniques and ideas. Initially working with watercolour he works more with acrylic now and tends towards abstract being quite experimental with colour, texture and form.
