Jennifer's work is predominantly acrylic on canvas but she has dabbled in watercolour and oils.

"I moved full time to Tairua 2 years ago and I needed something to fulfil my days so as I come from a mother and her family of artists, I thought I would give it a go.

Art for me is an ongoing process and I love to push myself to learn new techniques.

I class myself as a realist painter. I have a love of the sea and all the different types of boats on it, especially boats with character.

I have been experimenting with different painting ideas from flowers, wharfs, houses, seascapes, and boats.

I am loving the painting journey and pushing myself to achieve the perfect painting."
