I am a mixed media artist living in Whangamatā and have been creating artwork for as long as I can remember.

I have an eclectic style which often incorporates collage materials and a variety of paint mediums. Acrylic, ink, materials, papers and found objects are used to multi-layer and develop texture throughout my work.

The stunning environment of Whangamatā results in recurring homage to the coast and surrounding land formation which is often seen in my work.

I also facilitate creative art workshops  in Whangamatā for those wanting to 'give it go'.

I have exhibited my work in many solo and group exhibitions throughout New Zealand and overseas. 

 

Heather’ s garden sculptures depict a bold and solid statement. They are cut from corten steel, which, when weathers turn a rich ochre color.

The designs on the steel symbolize aspects of Aotearoa and pay homage to our stunning physical environment.
