The One Thing lockdown has taught me is to do what makes you happy. I felt the need to create something that was joyous and radiated happiness. When Dolly Bird sprung to mind, I immediately researched and found the perfect combination to create a fun painting. The delightful palette of colours and the Hihi bird (which means ray of sunshine in Maori) makes me happy every time I look at it.
